Based off of the Japanese yokai "Oni," Some of the antagonists of Cut and Dry, besides Lip Gloss’s friend group, are a group of weapon monsters, called Weaponi, otherwise known as just Oni. Object-eating trolls who love drinking, and are unable to tell a lie. The oni are different from other species as they don’t refer to themselves as their weapon type names, but instead they use their true names, which follow a naming system similar to the NightWings from Wings of Fire. The forest is shared by the Hairdryer pack and this group of oni. There’s more than three oni in this group, so more designs are to come. Additional oni notes, their names change throughout their lives similar to cats in Warriors. For example, DreamEnder was simply called Halberd, before being promoted to Halberd of Dreams, to DreamEnder. VoidWhisperer was Mace, then Mace of Voids, then VoidWhisperer. StormCaller was Axe, then Axe of Storms, then StormCaller. DreamEnder - she/her VoidWhisperer - he/him StormCaller - he/they
